Suva was designed by Ted Geary for Frank Pratt Jr. of Pratt and Whitney Engines.  Built in 1925 in China she is made entirely of old growth teak, hull planking, deck, cabin and interior.

Originally rigged as a gaff schooner, she now uses a staysail schooner rig.  Her masts are Sitka spruce.

In 2007 the Port Townsend shipwright co-op replaced and lengthened the bowsprit and boomkin in purple heart and recaulked the entire hull.

Suva is based in Port Townsend.  We do day sails on the bay, wildlife adventures, 3 - 6 day charters in the San Juans Islands or 12 days to Desolation Sound.
